Stinson L-5s still working hard!

Hi Ryan, down the airfield today I was working with an Italian guy who recently moved to the UK, and ended up talking about L-5's when discussing what we thought was buzzing overhead. Turns out he knows the guy at the glider club with the L-5(s), is there anything you'd like to know about them?

Sure, serial numbers, how long they've been using them, what kind of mods they are using (I'm pretty sure that some of them are modified a bit) etc... Pictures would be nice as well!

This is what my mate said - apparently there's more than a dozen L-5's in Italy, some of them used for glider towing. The Italian Air Force used them (presumably acquired from the US Army after WW2?), maybe that's where they got their glider towing equipment from, with the air force using them in that role after they became obsolete in their original role. There's also one in the Italian Air Force Museum. Here's a list he sent me;
