| BlueSky, Amarillo TX, will be having our fly-in on Saturday April 24th May 1st. We have had a lot of rain in the last week, and don't have enough float planes to make it work this weekend. Breakfast from 8-10. Flying activities after 10. Last year we fed over 300 folks. Flour Bombing, Spot landing, might bust a few balloons. Several warbirds; L-2, L-4, L-5, PT-17, PT-27, BT, L-19, T-34s. Lots of vintage planes, starting with a 35 Fairchild. Grass roots flying at it's best. We are on the sectional, but not in many GPS data bases. Drop in if you can.

| Wow. Sounds like fun. Ours is the weekend before and I think I'm taking the L-5 to Burnet on the 10th. I'd see if I could come, but I think if I do three weekends in a row some of my students might switch to another instructor.

| 2TX0 to 53TX is a serious cross country in an L-4 or L-5. Think it is over 400 kts, which at my average cross country speed of 52kts qualifies as an "iron butt" run. I'll will try and get some pictures of our fly-in this year and post them on the site. Have fun and fly safe at the ALS event. | |

| Yeah, it's just a little on the far side. I've done the 53TX to MAF run before in the L-2. Had headwinds coming and going and had to make TWO fuel stops each time. I think I logged approx. 5 hours each way! I've been nearby your place in a RG Cardinal and that took a while!
