| The Alamo Liaison Squadron once again plans to host our annual Bluebonnet Picnic / Fly-in / L-bird gathering on April 17. 2010. Our squadron and members own and operate WWII liaison aircraft such as the Taylorcraft L-2, Aeronca L-3, Piper L-4, Interstate Cadet, Piper J-3 Cub, and the Stinson L-5. We own Cannon Field ( FAA Identifier 53TX ), a grass strip on the south side of San Antonio and invite all L-bird owners to bring their planes out. We hope to have some WWII veterans present for the event, and will have good food and fun as well.

| Note to all members that our date for the picnic has changed due to some unforseen conflicts. Please mark your calendars for April 17, 2010!
Thanks,

| Our current veterans list looks like this:
WWII L-5 pilot from Houston, TX WWII L-5 pilot from Washington State Possible WWII L-5 crew chief (of WA pilot) from Houston, TX Likely WWII L-5 pilot from North Texas Possible WWII L-4 pilot here locally
If you know of another L-bird pilot from WWII that we could invite, please let me know ASAP!

| Well, I'm pleased to let everyone know that we had three of the veterans able to attend and the event went really well despite some rain.
