Question to L birds that reenact

I have a question to all on this board who reenact or would like to do this. How about a reenactment of a forward airbase in Italy being defended by infantry and having period ground crews. THEN, the Germans hit the "base" we ground crew types work with the pilots to get the birds out and then we ground crews go help "hold the line", then the planes are radioed in as it's safe.

We actually did something similar, but not quite like that at the Mediterranean Assault several years back. Maybe it's time to plan for another event - perhaps in the fall?
