Middle Wallop, 21 June, UK

Too far for most of you but never know, someone in the UK or near may see this and come along. We currently have 73 Austers booked in for this fly-in at the Army Air Corps Airfield at Middle Wallop, Hampshire, UK. As well as the 73 booked to arrive, there are three Austers in the Museum of Army Flying and several others elsewhere on site. The largest number of Austers at a fly-in previous to this is believed to be about 46, so this should be the largest Auster fly-in ever held

Certainly going to be impressive! It's not just the Austers i'm looking forward to, but also hopefully getting the chance to speak to some of the veterans too

Do you happen to have a digital camera capable of taking video? If so, would you consider trying to get some 5 minute clips of some of the veterans talking about their experiences? I'd be happy to put something like that up on www.Lbirds.com.

My camera can do that, and that's a good idea. If I get the chance to do it and they'd be happy to talk i'll give it a shot. If not, i'll be sure to get some videos over the course of the weekend, especially if I get the chance to fly over the Austers on the ground
