<description>Here's the photographs of the WW2 Austers at the mass Auster fly-in at Middle Wallop this weekend to coincide with the annual 656 Squadron reunion. I managed to achieve my ambition in flying all of the UK's Auster III's - all three of them! Great claim to fame and what better way to spend my 21st Birthday weekend

Descending to land at Middle Wallop on the Saturday in an Auster III that landed in Normandy two days after D day

<description>This past weekend, the Auster Club had its Annual General Meeting and fly-in. Despite the poor weather, we had a fairly good turn out of Austers - we had an Auster IV and V fly-in, with two civilianised V's in the hangar. Unfortunately I didn't get a photo of the IV but did of the V that flew in. Both the IV and V were in wartime camouflage markings. The V won the award for best aircraft, and had flown eight and a half hours from Denmark to be with us

<description>The Auster Club website has many good photographs and a listing of all Auster aircraft made, from the UK built Taylorcrafts (some of which went over to France in 1940), to the Taylorcraft Austers which served through the war and the post-war Austers which served in Borneo amongst other locations
